We must maintain strong democratic institutions, including making it easier to vote, not harder.

Abortion is a fundamental right - women and all persons should have agency over their own bodies; it is healthcare and no one else should be "in" the doctors' office with her.

Quality public schools are the backbone of our society and deserve to be fully funded so that all children can thrive.
I am passionate about participatory democracy and have been living that passion since I returned home to Iowa. Public education is also key, including early childhood education and a robust childcare system where childcare workers are paid what they are worth. The education continuum includes post-secondary education - the trades, community college and university. All are essential to solving our workforce crisis and creating a state where young people want to stay.
