Iron County Health District Levy Increase (February 2012)
An Iron County Health District Levy Increase measure was on the February 28, 2012 ballot in Dickinson and Iron Counties.

This measure sought to increase the district property tax by a rate of $.42 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further four years in order to continue to pay for general health district needs.[2]

The question on the ballot:
| Shall the tax rate limitation for the County of Iron General Ad Valorem taxes be increased by .42 mills ($.42 per thousand dollars of taxable value) for a period of four (4) years, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, inclusive, the taxes so raised to be used exclusively as follows: .42 mill for operations of the Dickinson-Iron District Health Department. This levy would raise an estimated $ 198,048 in the first year." (This is a renewal of the .35 mill levy which will expire with the 2012 levy; plus an additional .07 mill.)[3] |
