Israel Romero (Democratic Party) ran for election for South Carolina Superintendent of Education. Romero did not appear on the ballot for the general election on November 6, 2018.

Romero unofficially withdrew from the race before the general election. His name still appeared on the ballot, but the State Election Commission stated that it would remove his name from the results page on election night.[1]

Romero ran in the 2012 election for South Carolina House of Representatives District 20. He would have been unopposed in the Democratic primary on June 12, but he was decertified from the ballot.[2] Incumbent Dan Hamilton (R) ran unopposed in the Republican primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[3]
