J. Richard Gama
J. Richard Gama is a former presiding civil court judge for the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona.[1][2] He joined the court in 2000 and retired in 2016.[3]
Education
Gama earned his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University in 1968 and his J.D. from the same school in 1972.[1]

Gama was retained to the Maricopa County Superior Court with 67.4 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [4]
Evaluation
The Judicial Performance Review Commission provides Arizona voters with an evaluation of each judge up for retention. The commission votes on whether a candidate meets or does not meet the JPR standards. Each judge is assessed on their legal ability, integrity, communication skills, judicial temperament and administrative performance.[5]
The commission voted that Gama met the JPR standards. The vote was 29-0 in favor of retention.[4]
