Campaign themes

2017

Shull's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[3]

Education

  • Excerpt: "When our teachers are compensated with proper funds from a proposed 2% tax on all common goods, teachers will no longer have to worry and stress about financial hardships and will then be able to focus more of their attention on the classroom and the enrichment of the minds of tomorrow -as it should be."

Public safety

  • Excerpt: "Our number one priority should be the safety of our citizen. At this current moment our uniformed officers have the complete control of their body cameras. I am proposing that these body cameras should be recording at all times when the officer is on duty."

Economy

  • Excerpt: "We currently do not have any national sports team for the city of Albuquerque. Making our Lobos a national college football team would bring roughly 3 million dollars into our city each year. Not only will this bring in funding, but it will also provide employment and scholarships to the many hard working and deserving citizens of Albuquerque. I would like to work with private investors and professional sports teams to make this happen."
