Education
Plakas received his B.S. from Central Michigan University and his J.D. degree from the University of Detroit School of Law.[1]
Career
Before his election to the 35th Judicial District Court bench in 2008, Plakas worked as a prosecutor, as an assistant city attorney, as a criminal defense attorney, and as a civil litigator. He represented clients for 13 years, in district and circuit courts in Michigan, in federal district courts in Michigan and Arkansas, and in the United States Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit.[1]
