James H. Taylor Sr. (Illinois U.S. Representative candidate)
James Taylor is a former 2013 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House in the special election for the 2nd Congressional District of Illinois. He was defeated in the Republican primary.
He was also a 2012 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 2nd Congressional District of Illinois. Taylor was defeated by Brian Woodworth in the Republican primary on March 20, 2012.[1]

Taylor ran in the 2013 special election for the U.S. House, representing Illinois' 2nd District. The election is being held to replace Jesse Jackson, Jr.. Taylor lost in the Republican primary on February 26, 2013.[2]

Taylor was running in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Illinois's 2nd District. Taylor sought the nomination on the Republican ticket.[3] The signature filing deadline was December 27, 2011, and the primary took place on March 20, 2012. Incumbent Jesse L. Jackson, Jr. ran for re-election on the Democratic ticket.
Incumbent Jesse L. Jackson, Jr. won in the Democratic primary against Debbie Halvorson.[1] Candidate Brian Woodworth won in the Republican primary, defeating Taylor, and advancing to the general election against Jackson on November 6, 2012.[1]
