Campaign themes
On her campaign site, Deacy outlines her campaign themes and policy goals:
- Over the last several years, New York has been in decline in almost every aspect. Unemployment has skyrocketed while we lead the nation in population loss, as taxes and spending grow year after year. Every community in New York is suffering, and ours is no exception. Once elected, I will waste no time in making Queens’ voice heard at the Capitol. I will work to create jobs by cutting taxes and reducing spending. I understand the issues that impact the people of our community each and every day, which is why I will fight to improve transportation, eliminate the Cross Bay Bridge toll and keep Peninsula Hospital open. I will work to strengthen our schools, protect our children from sex offenders and keep criminals off our streets. I pledge to all my constituents that I will stand against the broken status quo in Albany and be a true reformer in state government.
