Janet Duprey
Janet L. Duprey (b. November 27, 1945) is a former Republican member of the New York State Assembly, representing District 115 from 2013 to 2017.
Duprey did not seek re-election to the New York State Assembly in 2016.
She previously represented District 114 in the Assembly from 2007 to 2013. Duprey is also a county committee member of the Clinton County Republican Committee. Her other political experience includes treasurer of Clinton County; chair for the Town of Peru Republican Committee; and legislator with Clinton County.[1]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was July 10, 2014. Incumbent Janet Duprey defeated Karen M. Bisso in the Republican primary. Duprey ran on the Independence Party of New York State and Bisso ran on the Conservative Party ticket. Duprey defeated Bisso (C) in the general election.[2][3][4]

Duprey ran in the 2012 election for New York State Assembly District 115. She defeated David J. Kimmel and Karen M. Bisso in the Republican primary on September 13, 2012. She also ran on the Independence Party of New York State ticket. She defeated Timothy R. Carpenter and Karen M. Bisso in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[5][6][7]

Duprey defeated David Kimmel in the September 14 Republican primary, but Kimmel secured the Conservative Party nomination. She defeated faced Rudolph Johnson Sr. (D) and David Kimmel (C) in the general election on November 2.[8][9] In addition to running on the Republican ticket, she ran on the Independence Party of New York State ticket.
