Jeannette Castagnetti is a judge of the O'ahu First Circuit of Hawaii. She was nominated in 2010 by Gov. Linda Lingle and approved by the Hawaii Senate for a 10-year term. On March 20, 2020 she filed a petition for retention. [1] Castagnetti was retained for another 10-year term.[2][3]

Education

Castagnetti received a B.A. from Pitzer College, and earned her J.D. from California Western School of Law in San Diego.[4][5]

Career

Before her appointment, Castagnetti served as a per diem District Court judge for civil claims and criminal matters starting in December of 2007. She was civil litigation attorney with the law firm Bronster Hoshibata. She has also worked as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the City and County of Honolulu in the Career Criminal and Domestic Violence and Juvenile Offenders Divisions. She was a legal extern for Judge Barry Kurren.[4][5]
