Jennifer Araiza was a candidate for the Trustee Area 3 seat on the Colton Joint Unified School District Board of Education in California. She ran against two fellow candidates for a two-year term in the general election on November 4, 2014.[1][2][3] Jennifer Araiza lost the general election on November 4, 2014.

Five seats on the Colton Joint Unified School District Board of Education were up for general election on November 4, 2014. One board member from Trustee Area 1, two members from Trustee Area 2 and one member from Trustee Area 3 were up for re-election to four-year terms. Another seat from Trustee Area 3 was up for election to a two-year term due to a vacancy on the board.
Trustee Area 1 incumbent Randall Ceniceros ran unopposed and won re-election by default. The Trustee Area 2 race featured two incumbents, Pilar Tabera and Dan Flores, and one challenger, Juan Rodriguez, running for two seats. Tabera and Flores won their bids for re-election. In Trustee Area 3, incumbent Joanne E. Thoring-Ojeda ran unopposed and won re-election to a four-year term by default. The two-year term election in Trustee Area 3 featured candidates Kent Taylor, Jennifer Araiza and Francine Sandoval. Taylor defeated the other candidates to win the seat.
