Jill Phillips is a Republican and the Place 2 judge on the partisan Mobile County District Court in Alabama. She was appointed by Gov. Robert Bentley (R) on August 14, 2015, to replace Judge Jay York (R), who had been elevated to the circuit court. Phillips won election to a full term on the court in the general election on November 8, 2016.[1]

Biography

Phillips received a bachelor's degree from Spring Hill College and a J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law. She was an assistant district attorney in Mobile County from 2000 until her judicial appointment in 2015.[1]
