Jim Travis Hamilton
Jim Travis Hamilton was a circuit court judge for the Twenty-Second Circuit Court in Tennessee. He began serving on the court in 1982 and was re-elected without opposition in 2006 and 2014.[1][2][3] Hamilton retired in 2015 and was succeeded by David Lee Allen.[4]

General: He defeated Thomas DuBois in the general election on August 7, 2014, receiving 52.3 percent of the vote.

Education
Hamilton received his undergraduate degree from Middle Tennessee State University in 1963 and his J.D. degree from the Memphis State University School of Law.[1]
Career
Hamilton began his career in 1962 as an attorney working in private practice. He worked in that capacity until he joined the Twenty-Second Circuit Court in 1982. He also previously served as a part-time assistant district attorney general from 1973 to 1982 and as a former city judge for the Mt. Pleasant Municipal Court.[1]
