Joe Bertram was a Democratic member of the Hawaii House of Representatives, representing the 11th District from 2007-2011.

Biography

Bertram has served as the president of Bikeways Maui. He was a member of the Maui Green Party Executive Committee from 1995-2000, and has been a member of the Kihei Youth Center Board, and the Kihei Community Association Board.[1]

Bertram lost his bid for re-election in 2010. He defeated Johanna Amorin and Netra Halperin in the primary election on September 18, 2010. Bertram lost in the November 2, 2010 general election to George Fontaine (R).[2]

2008

On November 4, 2008, Bertram won re-election to the Hawaii House of Representatives from Hawaii's 11th District, defeating George Fontaine (R). Bertram received 4,299 votes in the election while Fontaine received 3,215 votes.[3] Bertram raised $8,885 for his campaign; Fontaine raised $31,889.[4]
