John A. Dean, Jr. was a judge in the Eleventh Judicial District of New Mexico from 2003 to 2019. Dean was appointed to the bench in February 2003.[1] He was retained in 2008 and in 2014.[2][3] Dean retired from the bench on February 19, 2019.[4]

Dean, Jr. was retained to the 11th District Court with 70.5 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014.[3]

Education

Dean received both his undergraduate degree and J.D. from the University of New Mexico.[1]

Career

During this time, Dean also served as San Juan County domestic violence commissioner for seven years and pro se hearing officer for two years.[1]
