Benbow wrote a letter to the editor published in the Wisconsin Rapids Tribune on March 16, 2018:[4]
“ | EDITOR: I am John Benbow and I ask for your vote for Wisconsin Rapids School Board.
I am a lifelong resident of Wisconsin Rapids. Our family has four graduates of Lincoln High School. I advocate for public education and promise to continue to fight for the children of this school district. I feel that a board member must act in the best interest for all of the students in this district. Our school district is a great district and I would like to maintain this level of education for our kids as we look forward to their futures. I am a candidate because I love my children and I will serve on the board with that same love for all of your children. Vote and make a difference in a child’s life. I ask for your vote on April 3.
