Democratic nominating convention

The 5th Congressional District Democratic Committee held a nominating convention on May 5, 2018. Leslie Cockburn received a majority of the votes to secure the Democratic nomination.[1]

Republican nominating convention

The 5th Congressional District Republican Committee held a nominating convention on June 2, 2018. Denver Riggleman was chosen by the party to compete in the general election.[2]
