Three of the seven seats on the Rochester Public Schools School Board were up for general election on November 8, 2016. In his bid for re-election to Seat 1, incumbent Richard Hinds was defeated by challenger Don Barlow. Seat 3 incumbent Deborah Seelinger won re-election after defeating John League in a primary election on August 9, 2016, and Bobbie Gallas in the general election. The race for the open Seat 7 featured candidates Ahmed Ragab and Mark Schleusner. Schleusner won election to the seat.[3][4][5]
