John Pettigrew, Jr. was a 2012 Republican candidate for District 25 of the South Carolina State Senate.

Pettigrew, Jr. filed to run in the 2012 election for South Carolina State Senate District 25. He would have faced incumbent Shane Massey in the Republican primary on June 12. As a result of Pettigrew's disqualification. Massey will be the de facto Republican nominee.[1][2]
Candidate Disqualification
Due to the filing dispute in South Carolina, Pettigrew was removed from the ballot just days before the primary. He and four other candidates filed a lawsuit against the state of South Carolina and the State Election Commission in an attempt to get the primary delayed, but ultimately failed when a Federal Judge struck down their request.[3]
