Josh P. Schneider was a 2014 candidate for the 30th District Court, which presides over Jefferson County in Kentucky.[1] Schneider's father, the late Judge Daniel A. Schneider, served on the First District Court from 1978 until 1997.[2]

Schneider ran for election to the 30th District Court.
Primary: He was successful in the primary on May 20, 2014, receiving 33.2 percent of the vote. He competed against Derwin L. Webb and Amber B. Wolf.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 44.1 percent of the vote. He competed against Amber B. Wolf. [1][3] 

Education

Schneider earned his B.A. in English from Northland College and a master's in education from the University of Vermont. He earned his J.D. from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law.[4]

Career

Schneider taught English as a second language to high school students in Olomouc, Czech Republic. He then taught middle and high school English to Inupiaq Eskimos in Kiana, Alaska. Since 2009 he has worked as an assistant commonwealth attorney in Jefferson County.[4]
