|- Rising housing costs have led to displacement in our communities. As a city, we need to build permanent deeply affordable housing, reinvest in NYCHA, and provide pathways to homeownership for longtime residents.
- Our community doesn’t get the level of sanitation service it deserves. As your Council Member, I will fight for the resources to upgrade our sanitation system with SMART technology to keep our streets clean. I will introduce legislation to address the over-concentration of addiction treatment facilities in Harlem to ensure these facilities are equitably distributed across our city.
- As a graduate of Frederick Douglass Academy in Harlem, I know the value of our public schools. As your Council Member, I will fight to build more schools, reintroduce vocational education, and expand the Summer Youth Employment Program to give our youth year round opportunities for workforce development and career placement.
