Judith M. Brawka is a former judge of the Sixteenth Circuit Court in Illinois.[1] She was elected to this position in 2002, and retired on July 8, 2016.[2][3]

In November 2012, Brawka was elected chief judge to replace Robert B. Spence. Her term as chief judge expired on December 1, 2013.[2]

Education

Brawka earned a B.A. from DePaul University in 1975, going on to receive her J.D. from Northwestern University in 1978.[2] She was admitted to the bar that same year.[4]

Brawka was retained to the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit Court with 77.2 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [5] 

Evaluations

The Illinois State Bar Association and participating attorneys rated Judith M. Brawka as Recommended for retention in a 2014 poll.[6]
