Julie Nicholson

Julie Nicholson is the chief judge for the 52nd District Court in Michigan. She was elected to the court in 1996 and assumed office in January 1997.[1][2] On November 4, 2014, Nicholson was re-elected unopposed for another six-year term commencing on January 1, 2015, and expiring on December 31, 2020.[3]

Education
Nicholson received her B.A. in business administration and pre-law from Michigan State University in 1983 and her J.D. degree from the Detroit College of Law in 1987.[1]
Career
Before she became a judge, Nicholson worked as an attorney in private practice. She has also been an adjunct professor at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School since 2007.[1]
