Strong schools make for strong communities with better job opportunities and a brighter future. As a Kern County native, I wish to serve my community by ensuring our schools meet the needs of students and families.

I have an extensive background in business and finance, beginning with my degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. In managerial roles for multiple Fortune 500 companies I was responsible for budgets in the millions of dollars.

Currently, I serve as the Vice-Chair of the P-BVUSD Bond Oversight Committee. As a school board member, I will emphasize fiscal responsibility and transparency while increasing accountability of taxpayer money. It is important to make every dollar count so our limited resources are spent educating our students and not on bureaucratic interests.

As a mother to four children, I know the importance of reading and literacy, and I will prioritize increasing student achievement in these areas. This will be accomplished by a steadfast adherence to best practices while providing appropriate support and training to teachers and families. My goal is to ensure the P-BVUSD motto of "Excellence in Education" holds true for ALL students.

Thank you. I hope to earn your vote.
  • I am passionate about my community and believe schools are critical for creating better job opportunities and a brighter future for all residents.
  • I have an extensive background in business and finance. I plan to use these skills to emphasize strong fiscal management of the taxpayers' money.
  • As a mother to four children, I know the importance of reading and literacy, and I will prioritize increasing student achievement in these areas.
Top 3 Goals for my first term are:

Strengthen the greater community of Bakersfield by:

1. Increasing literacy so that all children can read and comprehend
2. Creation and maintenance of a safe, healthy environment

3. Strong fiscal management of the taxpayers' money
