Tomlinson ran for re-election for an at-large seat of the Cherry Hill Public Schools school board in New Jersey. Tomlinson won in the general election on November 3, 2015.

Four seats on the Cherry Hill Public Schools school board were up for general election on November 3, 2015. The seats of at-large incumbents Kathryn Bay Judge, J. Barry Dickinson, and Colleen Horiates were on the ballot. There was also an unexpired one-year term on the ballot.[1]

Judge and Dickinson won re-election, while Ken Tomlinson Jr. joined the board. They defeated challenger Fredrick Dande for three three-year terms. Jane Scarpellino won election to the one-year term without opposition. Horiates did not file for re-election.[2]
