Kosovo Albanian Referendum, 2012
A Kosovo Albanian Referendum was held in the country of Kosovo on February 14 and 15, 2012. It was rejected.
This measure asked residents if they wanted to accept the Republic of Kosovo’s institutions. Serbians in the northern part of the country called this referendum in protest against Belgrade's concessions to the ethnic Albanian government in Pristina. Those in favor of the referendum saw it as a way for residents to show their opposition to the Pristina institutions. The vote was advisory.[1]
