Larry Stipes was a nonpartisan District 3 member of the Irving Independent School District school board in Texas. He resigned in July 2018 because he moved out of the district.[1]

Stipes graduated from Irving High School in 1970. He previously served as chairman on the Irving Bond Task Force of Parks and Open Space Committee. His father served on the Irving ISD Board of Trustees for 15 years and his brother Randy served for nine years.[2]

The general election was canceled. Larry Stipes (Nonpartisan) won without appearing on the ballot.

The general election on May 9, 2015, in the Irving Independent School District featured two seats up for election. District 4 incumbent Valerie Jones did not file for re-election, and two challengers — Dinesh Mali and Sanko Prioleau II — sought her seat. Mali triumphed over Prioleau in that race. District 3 incumbent Larry Stipes ran unopposed.
