Laura Robison
Laura Robison, née Laura N. Cali, is a former Oregon commissioner of insurance. She assumed office on July 15, 2013, following the resignation Louis Savage. She served until September 2017 when she transitioned to the role of chief financial officer for the Oregon Health Authority.[1][2]
Biography
Before working at the Division of Insurance, Robison worked at Liberty Mutual in Boston, Massachusetts and as a consulting actuary for Towers Watson in San Francisco, California. Prior to her appointment to serve as the commissioner of insurance, Robison worked as an actuary with the Insurance Division. She was hired in 2011 as a casualty actuary with specializations in workers' compensation and medical malpractice. She also worked on health insurance issues, including compliance with the Affordable Care Act, as the chief actuary of the division's product regulation section.[3]
