Biography
Lorena Wood was born in Lander, Wyoming. Wood earned a graduate degree from the University of Denver in 1993 and a Ph.D. from Capella University in 2016. Her career experience includes teaching in higher education and working as a clinical social worker and administrator.[1]

|Social policy includes policy and funding to address our problem with affordable housing in the Flathead Valley. I am looking for innovative ways to support small businesses by promoting affordable housing for current and potential employees. This is important because we are experiencing a labor shortage. My focus is on the use of State and Federal dollars, and ideas include grants for small businesses to provide employee housing and more creative use of existing housing supplements so that working residents can be rewarded.
