Primary: He was defeated in the Democratic primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 9.4 percent of the vote. He competed against Fritz Faulkner.

Rogers ran unopposed in the Republican primary for Justice of the Peace, Precinct 4, in San Jacinto County, Texas and was defeated by Greg Magee in the general election.[4][5]
