Noteworthy cases
Indiana Secretary of State voter fraud case
Charlie White, the secretary of state for Indiana, was accused of falsifying his address. In November 2010, Indiana Democrats asked the Indiana Recount Commission to investigate, claiming that White's address meant he was ineligible to run for office. In December of that year, the commission dismissed the case.
In December 2011, Rosenberg found that the commission was not able to dismiss the case and ruled White had been ineligible to run for secretary of state.[5]
Ruling
In March 2012, the Indiana Supreme Court unanimously ruled that White was eligible to run for office. In its ruling, the high court pointed out that it had never overturned election results and was hesitant to do so at this time.[6]
