M.T. Thompson
M.T. Thompson is a former district court judge for the 70th District Court in Michigan.[1] Thompson served as a judge for the court from 1997 to 2016.[2] On November 4, 2014, he was re-elected to a six-year term.[3] Thompson retired effective April 30, 2016.[4]

Education
Thompson received his undergraduate degree from Oakland University and his J.D. degree from the Northeastern University School of Law.[2]
Career
Before his elevation to the bench, Thompson had a varied legal career. He worked with the U.S. Attorney's Office and the National Labor Relations Board. He was also previously a partner in a major Detroit law firm and practiced law in a solo office.[2]
