Mark Millis represents Trustee Area 2 on the Lucia Mar Unified School District Board of Education in California. He was first elected to the board on November 2, 2010.
Millis ran unopposed and won re-election by default in the general election on November 4, 2014.[1]
Biography
Before serving on the Lucia Mar Unified School District Board of Education, Millis taught in the district at Arroyo Grande High School. He taught American government for 33 years before he retired. Millis also served as president of the Lucia Mar teachers union for 10 years and served 18 years on the Arroyo Grande City Council.[2]

2014
Five seats on the Lucia Mar Unified School District Board of Education were up for general election on November 4, 2014. Trustee Area 1 incumbent Chad Robertson, Trustee Area 2 incumbents Colleen Martin and Mark Millis and Trustee Area 3 incumbent Vern Dahl ran unopposed and won re-election to four-year terms. Trustee Area 4 incumbent Don Stewart also ran unopposed, but as he was appointed to his seat, he was re-elected to a two-year term. Because each seat up for election was unopposed, this election did not appear on the ballot.[1]
Results
This election was canceled due to lack of opposition. Trustee Area 1 incumbent Chad Robertson, Trustee Area 2 incumbents Colleen Martin and Mark Millis and Trustee Area 3 incumbent Vern Dahl won re-election to four-year terms by default. Trustee Area 4 incumbent Don Stewart won re-election to a two-year term by default.[1]
Funding
Millis filed Form 470 with the San Luis Obispo County Clerk-Recorder, indicating he did not intend to raise or spend more than $1,000 for his 2014 campaign. Because of this, Millis did not have to file any additional campaign finance reports.[3]
