Simeon ran for election to the 14th Judicial District Court.
Primary: He was defeated in the primary on May 6, 2014, receiving 14.1 percent of the vote. He competed against incumbent Judge Doretta Walker and Henry Pruette. In advance of the 2014 primary, the North Carolina Bar Association surveyed attorneys on the legal abilities of those seeking office.
