Mel Levey
Mel Levey was a 2014 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 16th Congressional District of California.[1]
Biography
Levey graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He deployed three times to Iraq and Afghanistan. Throughout his years of service he was assigned as a Tank Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer during Operation Iraqi Freedom, a Battalion Logistics Officer during Operation New Dawn and a Brigade Operations Planner during Operation Enduring Freedom.[2]

Levey ran in the 2014 election for the U.S. House to represent California's 16th District. Levey was defeated in the blanket primary on June 3, 2014.[3]
