Two of the seven seats on the Burleson Independent School District board of trustees were supposed to be up for general election on May 7, 2016. The election was canceled, however, due to lack of opposition. Place 1 incumbent Shawn Minor and Place 2 incumbent Michael Ancy automatically won re-election to their seats. There was no primary.[1][2]
