Midlothian and River Forest Park Districts Bond Measures (February 2010)
There were two Midlothian and River Forest Park Districts Bond Measures on the February 2 ballot in Cook County for voters in the park districts of Midlothian and River Forest.
Both measures were defeated The Midlothian bond had 57.29% NO votes and only 42.71% in favor.
The River Forest bond measure had 81.87% NO votes and only 18.13% for yes.[1]
The Midlothian measure seeks to create a bond in the amount of $8,500,000 in order to help improve and equip the Don Preston Recreation Center.
The River Forest measure seeks to create a bond in the amount of $8,000,000 in order to purchase a parcel of land on which they could build and equip a park district.[2]
