This measure was not put on an election ballot |
The Mississippi Public Smoking Ban Act will not appear on the November 3, 2015 ballot as a legislatively referred state statute. The measure, upon voter approval, would have banned smoking in public places throughout the state.[1]
Rather than seek a public smoking ban via an indirect initiated constitutional amendment, the Mississippi State Medical Association planned to submit signatures directly to legislators. They called on legislators to put the issue before voters in 2015.[1]
