The Mississippi Railroad, Amendment 2, also known as Amendment 2, was on the ballot in Mississippi on November 7, 1978, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed that the constitution be amended: Section 187. The amendment proposed to repeal the requirement that a train, if passing within three miles of the county seat, it must pass through the county seat.[1]
