I'm a mother, former union nurse, community activist and co-founder of the Friends of the Grand Blanc Grid. I believe that the Township government’s job is to serve residents’ interests.
  • Despite "650 M investment in Township" taxes are up while services, community pride and satisfaction are down.
  • Current government is not responsive to residents. They have erected layers of bureaucracy between elected officials and the community. The misnamed "Downtown Development Authority" is turning us into a factory town without adding value or revenue for residents.
  • 57 million dollars was invested in our 65 miles of primary roads over the past eight years without incorporating non-motorized safety.
Advocacy for residents; streamlined bureaucracy

Protection of renters and homeowners rights
Creation of a second park; prioritize improvements in our current park
Aggressive marketing to businesses residents want

Smart Growth planning and Complete Streets Principles
The Township Supervisor is the best advocate for local residents. Grand Blanc Township contributes the highest amount of revenue of any Township or City in Genesee County. The Supervisor can use this leverage to bring an active voice to issues that effect our community.
Service to the people. A good Supervisor should be responsive to citizens and strive to eliminate bureaucracy. The Township Supervisor should advocate for residents at the County and State levels of government. Township should actively pursue grant funding. Township government should encourage participation from citizens.
Compassion for people, empathy. Good listener. Energetic researcher and advocate; tenacity. Have been described as a dog with a bone - will not give up on what I believe in.
Prioritize resident needs. Establish partnerships with local agencies and surrounding Cities and Townships. Fiscal responsibility; balanced budget, financial transparency.
I would like to make Grand Blanc a community to be proud of; an enjoyable place to live.
First job was housecleaning and babysitting service I ran with a friend in highschool. We kept it going for four years. I became an LPN before attending college and worked as a charge nurse in a nursing home as well as a private duty caregiver for all four years I attended college.
I'm not sure I "want" to be this fictional character; however I am widely considered to be the basis of Elaine on Seinfeld.
I do think that experience with advocacy and knowledge of the limitations of state government laws and knowledge funding structures and limitations are important for a Township Supervisor.
