The New York Civil Appointment for Legislators, Amendment 2, also known as Proposed Amendment No. 2, was on the ballot in New York on November 3, 1931, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. This amendment would have permitted "legislators to receive civil appointments during their legislative terms."[1]
