The New York Salaries of Legislature Members, Amendment 2, also known as Proposed Amendment No. 2, was on the ballot in New York on November 3, 1964, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved.
This measure repealed subsection (b) of Section 7 or Article 1 of the state Constitution. It related to compensation for taking public property. It also amended Section 6, Article 3 of the state Constitution. It related to the salaries of legislature members. The measure also amended Section 17, Article 3 of the state Constitution and was related to street railroads. In addition, the measure amended Section 19, Article 3 of the state Constitution. It dealt with claims against the state. Lastly, the measure amended Section 6, Article 5 of the state Constitution and was related to "preferences for veterans in the civil service prior to January 1."[1]
