The New York State Housing Loans, Amendment 5, also known as Proposed Amendment No. 5, was on the ballot in New York on November 5, 1957, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. This measure excluded "liability for certain state housing loans in ascertaining debt-incurring power of towns and villages for housing purposes."[1]
