Eleven statewide ballot measures were on the June 26 and November 6, 1956 ballots in North Dakota.
- Seven of the measures were legislatively referred constitutional amendments.
- Two of the measures were veto referendums.
- One of the measures was an initiated constitutional amendment.
- One of the measures was an initiated state statute.
- Four of the measures were approved and seven were defeated.
