It has been my honor to serve our Monroe community for the last 20 years. Throughout 12 years of service on our city council and more than two decades of nonprofit experience, I have learned that strong leadership is about listening, learning, and working together. As Mayor, I will work to ensure Monroe remains a safe and connected community. This means supporting vibrant parks and public spaces where everyone feels at home, enhancing walkability to better connect downtown, Kelsey, and our neighborhoods, and advocating for traffic improvements on Highways 2, 203 and 522. I will also prioritize expanding housing options, promoting local businesses, investing in public safety, and creating welcoming spaces for all. With efficient city services, responsible budgeting, and strong collaboration with community partners, our city will continue to grow while preserving what makes Monroe such a special place to live, work, and thrive.
  • Public safety is essential to Monroe’s wellbeing. I will support our first responders, invest in infrastructure that improves traffic and pedestrian safety, and ensure parks and public spaces are well-lit and welcoming.
  • As our city grows, responsible budgeting and maintaining healthy reserves are vital. I’m committed to protecting taxpayers while balancing immediate needs with long-term sustainability.
  • Finally, a connected community is one where residents feel heard and empowered. By strengthening partnerships, fostering inclusivity, and promoting open communication, our city will continue to grow in a way that benefits everyone.
Serving on Monroe’s City Council for 12 years and leading major nonprofits has taught me that leadership means listening, learning, and working together. This is how I will approach my top priorities: public safety, financial stewardship, and community connection.
I believe leadership is about listen, learning, and working together.
To represent the entire community, ensure public resources are used responsibly, and make decisions that strengthen safety, connection, and quality of life. The role demands active listening, strategic planning, and a constant commitment to earning and maintaining public trust.
Leadership means bringing people together to solve problems, setting a vision for the future, and ensuring everyone has an opportunity to be heard. A mayor should foster collaboration across city departments, community groups, and residents, ensuring every voice is valued in shaping our shared future.
The relationship should be built on respect, transparency, and shared purpose. The mayor leads execution while the council provides guidance and policy direction working together to align strategy and resources so the city delivers effectively for residents.
I love our sense of community—neighbors who look out for one another, local businesses that give back, and a spirit of pride and belonging. I have loved raising my family in Monroe since moving here 22 years ago.
Managing growth responsibly while preserving our character. That means maintaining public safety, investing in infrastructure, supporting housing affordability, and ensuring fiscal sustainability while keeping Monroe welcoming, inclusive, and connected.
A partnership rooted in collaboration and advocacy. The city should work closely with state leaders to secure resources, influence policy, and ensure local priorities are understood and supported, especially around transportation, housing, and public safety.
Constructive collaboration focused on investment and opportunity. Monroe should engage proactively to access federal funding, infrastructure support, and community programs.
Built on trust, communication, and shared accountability. The mayor should ensure law enforcement has the resources and support to keep Monroe safe while fostering transparency and supporting positive relationships that build trust across the city.
I’m proud of helping strengthen Monroe’s financial foundation by advancing and growing the city’s reserve funds. This proactive approach ensures long-term stability, protects taxpayers, and prepares our city to weather economic uncertainty.
