City council elections in Oakland took place on November 4, 2014. The filing deadline was August 8, 2014.[1] In District 4, Anne Campbell Washington defeated Jill Broadhurst and Paul Lim.[2][3] Incumbent Elizabeth "Libby" Schaaf did not run for re-election, because she ran for mayor.
