Peggy Ann Holguin
Peggy Ann Holguin was the judge for Division 14 of the Bernalillo Metropolitan Courts in New Mexico.[1] She was appointed to the court in January 2013 by Governor Susana Martinez.[2] She was defeated in her bid for election in 2014, and stepped down from the bench when her term ended on December 31, 2014.[3]

Holguin ran for re-election to the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court.
Primary: She ran unopposed in the Republican primary on June 3, 2014.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 49.1 percent of the vote. She competed against Vidalia G. Chavez.

Education
Holguin received her B.A. in psychology from the University of New Mexico and J.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Law.[2]
Career
Prior to her judicial appointment, Holguin was the deputy district attorney for the Second Judicial District of New Mexico in the Special Proceedings Division. She has also served as the executive director of the New Mexico Judicial Standards Commission.[2]
