The political director is a key decision-making role in any campaign. According to Wellstone Action, a progressive political training group, "The political director works with specific constituency groups to organize their involvement with the campaign."[1] According to Clyde Williams, former political director for the Democratic National Committee, the political director "sets the agenda" for the campaign at national, regional and local levels.[2] The following is a list of all the political directors that Ballotpedia has profiled for the 2016 presidential election. A fuller individual profile—including the staffer's background, previous experience and current campaign work—can be found by clicking on the link in each staffer's name.
