The Program Review and Investigations Committee was a joint standing committee of the Connecticut General Assembly. In the Connecticut Legislature, there are no separate chamber committees.

Function

The 2014 Connecticut joint rules described the function of this committee as outlined below.

A committee on LEGISLATIVE PROGRAM REVIEW AND INVESTIGATIONS, the members of which shall be appointed as provided in section 2-53e of the general statutes, except that any member may be appointed to the committee, which may originate and report any bill it deems necessary concerning a program, department or other matter under review or investigation by the committee, in the manner prescribed in these rules.[1][2]
