Rick Castro
Rick Castro was a candidate for at-large representative on the San Bernardino City Unified School District Board of Education in California. The general election was held on November 3, 2015.[1] He lost the election.[2]

Four of the seven seats on the San Bernardino City Unified School District Board of Education were up for election on November 3, 2015. The seats represent the district at-large.
The seats held by incumbents Margaret Hill, Lynda K. Savage, Sharon "Bobbie" Perong and Mike Gallo were on the ballot.[3]
Incumbents Hill and Gallo won re-election, and newcomers Scott Wyatt and Gwen Dowdy-Rodgers joined the board. They defeated challengers Kaisar Ahmed, Rick Castro, Sonia Fernandez, Steven Paul Gutierrez and Esmeralda Negrete. Savage and Perong did not file to run for re-election.[1][2]

Funding
Castro reported no contributions or expenditures to the San Bernardino County Elections Office in the election.[4]
The first campaign finance reporting deadline was September 24, 2015, and the second one was October 22, 2015. If candidates raised or spent more than $1,000 from a single source, including their own funds, between August 5, 2015, and November 2, 2015, they had to file a campaign finance report within 24 hours.[5]
